Alex Charilaou

Labour Candidate for Sands

I’m proud to be standing for Sands, the wonderful ward I live in.

Professionally, I work for a charity trying to make lives better for those with life-shortening conditions. I’ve also worked in the past for a think tank, for a tech consultancy and as a carer. I’m looking forward to putting my breadth of experience to good use as an advocate for Sands.

If elected, my number one priority will be delivering for Sands. The three issues I resolve to fix are:

  • the awful parking and antisocial driving issues in Sands and across Wycombe;
  • antisocial behaviour and drug taking;
  • making sure our roads and pavements are accessible and fit for purpose.

The Conservatives have ignored our town’s needs for decades, and independent candidates have failed to make the impact needed to drive real change.

I’m excited to work towards a strong Labour group on the Council: in collaboration with a Labour MP in Wycombe and a Labour Government in Westminster, we’ll be able to achieve some great things.
