Steve Guy

Labour Councillor for Totteridge & Bowerdean

Candidate for Penn, Tylers Green & Loudwater

It’s been an honour to serve as a Buckinghamshire Councillor for the past four years.

I sit on the Transport, Environment and Climate Change Select Committee (TECC) and continue to push for stronger climate action from our Council.

I’m also a member of the West Buckinghamshire Planning Committee and it is our job to scrutinise planning applications in this area to try to balance the need  for development with protecting the character of this area with so much history.

I live in Loudwater and while it’s a great place to live, it isn’t perfect. For example, the changed priorities on the London Road have made it difficult and dangerous to emerge from the Laurel Drive estate at busy times. Potholes don’t get fixed quickly enough in our area. I would champion this area at the Council.

I have also previously served on Wycombe District Council and was involved in campaigning to save the swimming pool at Wycombe Rye, and fighting for FairTrade status for High Wycombe.

If you re-elect me I will strive to serve the local community with passion and vigour.

In my day job I am a Transmission Planner for a well known telecommunications company and I am a member of Prospect.
