Wycombe Labour were delighted that Rachel Reeves, the Shadow Chancellor, found the time to join Emma Reynolds and local Labour activists to help launch Emma’s campaign for the General Election.
In her rousing speech, Rachel reminded those present that people across the country are ready for change.
“After 14 years of failure under the Conservatives, it’s time for a fresh start here in Wycombe with Emma Reynolds, and a Labour government in Westminster… Emma has the skills and experience to deliver positive change for Wycombe.”
“Labour has a plan to deliver more jobs, lower bills, and a growing economy that will benefit the whole country… Only a vote for Emma Reynolds here in Wycombe will help us get the country’s future back.”
Labour can win in Wycombe for the first time since the 1945 election. That election brought about the great reforming Labour government that founded the NHS. Rachel was right to point out that the road to a Labour Government runs through Wycombe.
