Wycombe Labour were delighted that Rachel Reeves, the Shadow Chancellor, found the time to join Emma Reynolds and local Labour activists to help launch Emma’s campaign for the General Election.

Sir Chris Bryant MP recently took a trip down memory lane in Wycombe with Emma Reynolds, Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate. He visited All Saints Church where he had been a 24 year-old curate in the late 1980s before going on to stand for Labour in the 1997 general election.

Wycombe Labour is concerned that the Government’s proposals to increase free childcare for one- and two-year-olds, while broadly welcome, could actually result in local nurseries closing due to a lack of funding.

Emma Reynolds has been chosen as the Labour candidate to go up against Steve Baker at the next election. In a packed hustings on Saturday 19th November, she beat three other excellent candidates – Tom Rutland, David Taylor and Parmjit Dhanda – to win the support of the membership.
